Suburbs

Well it's been a few months since updating this silly thing, but since, we left sunny south Florida and moved to Elgin, IL. People ask us what we find different here to which we turn to each other, give a small laugh and say, "EVERYTHING!"

Now, we didn't live in some bustling metropolis in West Palm, but we lived in a really fun area that we could walk to wherever we would want to go- the grocery store, tons of restaurants, little shops, and most importantly the BEACH and Anthropologie! Here, in our new townhouse, we can walk to a BP, Subway or Arbys- all of which are low on our lists of places to hang out.

We also tell people that Chicago-landers are much nicer than South Floridians which 9 times out of 10, we get a crazy look with a "No Way!" but it's true, people will say hi to strangers, people will wave when they accidentally cut you off in traffic.

This difference doesn't bother Garrett as much as it does me, but t also kills me that it takes us SO LONG to get anywhere! 30 minutes is the standard driving time.

We enjoy going into the city, especially Wicker Park and Andersonville. We try to go at least once every other week, because living in the suburbs, our highlight of the week is going to Target!!! (no laughing Royal Palm Student Ministries :) )

We have had several people already come visit and we love seeing familiar faces. Hopefully there will be more to come! For those who can't make it up, here are some pictures of our new townhouse:

1. What has been your favorite thing about 2010 so far? Setting some PR's at Crossfit!! Getting RX+, officially being a kipper and getting my fastest 5k time yet

2. What is your favorite meal Garrett makes? He always makes our meats- i'm scared to cook them. everything is always great!
